Standard Equipment

Below is a sample of standard J/34c Equipment provided during production.  Some minor variations from these is to be expected depending on hull #.

HULL AND DECK
• Lloyd's approved Baltek Contourkore end grained balsa laminate construction using biaxial and unidirectional glass roving with lnterplastic vinylester resin on the outer hull layer for optimum blistering resistance.
• 10 year warranty against hull blistering.
• ABS(American Bureau of Shipping} A-1 Offshore hull certification.
• Lead & antimony fixed 5,100 lb. UFO winged keel.
• Two tone deck w/ two bootstripe and 1/2" cove stripe.
• Hull and deck joint bonded with 3M 5200 bolted on 4" centers, and capped w/ a clear anodized aluminum toe rail w/ moor¬ing and docking fairleads.
• Large cockpit locker to port.
• Two molded 5 x 15 instrument pods to P & S of helmsman's station.
• Teak handrails on cabin trunk.
• GRP molded main structural bulkhead, glassed fore & aft on hull and deck as support for shroud chainplates.
• Heavy solid transverse glass support beams over keel.

PROPULSION AND STEERING
• Volvo 2003 28 h.p. 3 cyl. diesel, fresh water cooled, water and dirt filters.
• Lighted engine instrument panel in cock¬pit with tach, fuel gauge, and alarms for oil pressure and temp.
• Balanced spade rudder of unidirectional glass ravings with 6" shaft mounted in Harken roller bearings.
• Edson 40" Destroyer wheelan binnacle w~h 5" Ritchie compass, brake, engine shltt/throttle controls, and stainless guard. Fast response gear ratio for tiller-like con¬trol.
• 26 gal. aluminum fuel tank w/ access port and gauge.
• Aluminum emergency tiller
• Martec folding prop with 1" Aquamet stainless shaft
PLUMBING
• Marelon seacocks and double clamped hoses below the waterline.
• Manually operated bilge pump in cockpit.
• Hot and cold pressure water system 45 gallon water tank.
• Raritan PH-2 head with one 18 gal. hold¬ing tank and "Y" overboard discharge.

DECK HARDWARE
• Two Barient 27 STC (Self-Tailing Chrome] 2-speed primary cockpit Winches.
• Two Barient 21 STC 2-speed winches (on aft cabin trunk) with Lewmar stoppers for main and jib halyard, two tack reefs and two clew reefs.
• Two Barient 22 STC 2-speed winches for mainsheet.
• Harken adjustable mainsheet traveler.
• Three 10" lock-in winch handles.
• Inboard genoa tracks w/ two adjustable jib lead blocks.
• One 10 1/2" bow cleat, two 8" stern cleats, and two 8" midship cleats.
• Two Lewmar articulated 19 x 19 Super¬Hatches for skylight and forward cabin.
• One Lewmar articulated 16 x 16 hatch in fore peak opposite head.
• One Lewmar articulated 10 x 10 head hatch.
• Nine Bowmar opening ports with screens.
• Lexan companionway hatch with aluminum rail and lexan two-part drop board plus inside/outside opening, lock¬able s.s. hasp.
• Three 10" lock-in winch handles.
• Double white PVC coated lifelines with starboard lifeline gate.
• Teak flagstaff and 3 x 5 American flag.

ELECTRICAL
• Swiveling tulip and R/W dome lights.
• Two deep cycle batteries.
• Electrical panel with battery condition meters and circuit breakers.
• Guest master switch.
• Navigation lights and combination steam/foredeck flood light.
• Electric bilge pump.

GALLEY
• One deep stainless sink with drainage top.
• 2-Burner Origo gimballed stove/oven with stainless safety bar slide-away cover.
• Large 6.0 cubic foot icebox suitable for refrigerator-freezer option.
• Large dry goods storage cabinet with mid-height shelf with acrylic slider.
• Storage bin outboard of stove.
• Formica topped counters with teak fiddles.
• Pot storage under oven and nav station.
• Large garbage bag storage under sink.
• Bread box with counter level cover.

SPARS AND RIGGING
• Hall Spars white double airfoil spreader, tapered, Imron coated aluminum mast with rod rigging.
• Hall integral tubular QUICK VANG.
• Heavy duty aluminum "I" beam mast step.
• One main and jib halyard led aft on cabin trunk.
• Two genoa sheets.
• Heavy duty custom stainless chainplates stemhead with single anchor roller and backstay tang.
• Main boom w/ reefing gear & adjustable outhaul car.

INTERIOR
• Gloss varnish on teak & holly sale.
• Rubbed oil finish on teak interior furniture.
• Private forepeak owner's cabin with 6'6" V-berth with filler section, hanging locker, drawers, & book shelves. Superb ventila¬tion from overhead Lewmar hatches and opening ports.
• 43" wide starboard quarterberth with storage bin aft of berth.
• Port and Starboard settee berths in main cabin with backrest storage compart¬ments, shelf and cabinet.
• Sectional cushion arrangement to access storage compartments.
• Forward head with two doors (from for¬ward stateroom and main cabin) includ¬ing shower, vanity, mirror, and storage. This area contains mast.
• Teak drop-leaf table with laminate top and 2 centerline storage bins/cup holder.
• Large chart table with chart storage navigation equipment bin, overhead' electrical and instrumentation panel.
